The Future Of LOGIC Model Contracts
|
|
In this presentation from IQPC's Advanced Contract Risk Management event in Aberdeen, Scotland, Jacquelynn Craw, General Counsel and Company Secretary at Fairfield Energy plc and Director at LOGIC examines where LOGIC contracts will be in the years to come.
LOGIC was created in 1999 by the government's Oil & Gas Industry Task Force (now PILOT) to stimulate supply chain collaboration and improve the competitiveness of the UK Continental Shelf.
LOGIC is a not-for-profit, wholly-owned subsidiary of Oil & Gas UK, that operates a number of cross-industry projects on behalf of the industry. Its board of directors includes operator and contractor representatives that connect into the user communities of these projects.
LOGIC is the custodian for cross-industry projects and works to preserve their unfettered availability and to promote and develop their use in improving industry practices within the UKCS oil and gas sector.
In her presentation, Jacquelynn will touch on:
-
The examination of LOGIC contracts in the context of the current economic downturn
-
Injecting clarity into your contracts no matter what the economic climate by using the LOGIC templates
-
Correctly adjusting your contracting strategy by studying current trends and predicting future changes of the LOGIC contracts
- Balancing flexibility and clarity in the use of the template by addressing the differing needs to include ‘special conditions’
