They can provide, when appraised and selected: engineering (FEED and detailed),construction support, equipment design, manufacturing and supply, 3rd party verification of design, complaince verification against society and regulatory bodies, site supervision and support during installation, mechanical completion, and commisioning. The rule for all major operators is that a minimum of 3 suppliers must be vetted during the tender and bid stage for a particular scope of work. Only one will be awarded the contract, if it passes the technical, quality and commercial bid evaluation process within the operator's management system. After contract award it will be mainly execution and control. Roel Soeleman
