Q: Who is your hero and why?

A: Not big on heroes to be honest! As a child, though, I'd say Brian Clough – he took Nottingham Forest from a Midlands backwater to consecutive European titles.

Q: Who do you admire in the business world and why?

A: Steve Jobs – has created a business that doesn’t follow the trends but that captures the zeitgeist.

Q: What has been your greatest achievement?

A: Making it this far.

Q: What is your greatest regret?

A: None up to this point, but I'm working on it!

Q: What is your favorite word?

A: I have no idea, it isn’t something I really think about.

Q: What is your least favorite word?

A: I don’t think I have a least favourite word.

Q: What profession other than yours would you like to attempt?

A: Professional yachtsman

Q: What profession other than yours would you not want to attempt?

A: Mortician.

Q: Can you describe yourself in 3 words?

A: No, not really.

Q: If you could meet any historical figure, who would it be and why?

A: It would have to be Da Vinci – well you could talk painting, sculpture, anatomy, engineering, music, maths, architecture....

Q: What is your favourite book?

A: The Count of Monte Cristo by Dumas.

Q: What is your favourite film?

A: The Usual Suspects.

Q: What is your most memorable quotation?

A: "Crime in multi-storey car parks…. wrong on so many different levels."

Q: If your job requires a lot of travelling - what is your favourite journey?

A: The journey home.

Q: What is your favourite dish?

A: Anything cooked at home with friends and a couple of bottles.

Q: What food can you not stand?

A: Natto – fermented soya bean (Japanese traditional breakfast) – slice of toast anyday!

Q: What is the quality you most like in a leader?

A: Integrity.

Q: What is the quality you most like in an employee?

A: Loyalty.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 10 years time?

A: Still trying to complete these questions!

Q: If you could do it all over again, what would you do differently?

A: Enjoy it more – and appreciate how quickly it goes.
