Challenges in radio system adoption and safety compliance inside petrochemical refineries

Radio system adoption was not a challenge in and of itself. Rather, it was the system management and safety issue that were the main concerns. Internal communication is a very important part of the business, just like a slogan that says "Communication is like a duty that will never end."

IRPC employs a trunked radio system to provide internal communication inside production sites while enhancing operation efficiencies and enabling employee and company asset safety.

At present, there are more than 1200 active radios operated inside IRPC facilities, with CAT Telecom providing the trunked radio network service. All the radio equipment is rented from United Acceptance Corporation.
