Ron Heffron

SVP, Energy & Marine COWI

Ron Heffron leads COWI’s global oil & gas marine terminal team, focusing on LNG terminal marine infrastructure. Mr. Heffron is a veteran of the energy industry and has over 35 years of experience in the planning and design of marine and energy facilities. He has extensive experience on energy & marine projects involving onshore and floating LNG, liquid bulk, and petrochemical terminals globally. Mr. Heffron is also very active in international technical activities devoted to improving the state of practice in the field of waterfront engineering. He serves as chairman of PIANC Working Group 153B, which will soon publish a new document called “Recommendations for the Design and Assessment of Marine Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Terminals.” In addition, he has authored over 100 technical papers presented worldwide, relating to the planning, design, upgrade and rehabilitation of facilities in the marine environment.
