Ashok Kamthan (Past Speaker)

Ashok Kamthan is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from the University of Roorkee (currently IIT Roorkee), India. He has more than 46 years of experience in engineering and maintenance of petrochemical and refining industry. He has been working with the Shuaiba Refinery of Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) since 1977 in Engineering and Maintenance Departments. He specializes in maintenance of rotating equipment, stationery equipment and all workshop specialized activities. He is also a certified HAZOP professional and had been taking care of the Refinery HAZOP Committee of Shuaiba Refinery for several years. Ashok has been a Superintendent/Team Leader in the Maintenance Department of Shuaiba Refinery since the year 1987 and presently a Coordinator, Engineering & Maintenance at Shuaiba Refinery
