Oil and Fuel Supply Chain Security 2020

We are delighted to announce the third annual Oil and Fuel Supply Chain Security conference, taking place between 26-28 May 2020 in London, UK. Recognised as the world’s only international forum focused on this vital subject, the 2020 conference comes at important time for national and international oil companies, as well as the experts working to combat organised crime and fraud.

The scale of the challenge facing governments and companies in relation to oil and fuel security is becoming increasingly stark. Nigeria, for example, lost as much as 22 million barrels of oil to theft in the first half of 2019 alone.

The importance of the task ahead of us has been made all the more clear this year in the wake of the 2019 Tlahuelilpan pipeline explosion, and the attack on the Aramco facilities in Abqaiq and Khurais. We must respond to these physical security threats and, increasingly, to cyber security threats too. The sheer diversity of threats and the breadth of the challenge ahead of us makes an international knowledge-sharing forum of this kind all the more vital.

Topics under consideration this year include, but are not limited to:

  • Prevention of mid and down-stream theft
  • UAV’s both as a surveillance solution, and a threat to be countered
  • The importance of cyber security in preventing cyber OT attacks
  • Tracking/tracing methodologies, and countering adulteration
  • Maritime security – countering piracy and ship-to-ship transfers
