Jeff has +25 years of international experience working in both large corporations and entrepreneurial ventures. His roles in these organizations evolved from technical engineering lead, commercial negotiator, corporate development director, Partner (new ventures), VP business development, Chief Strategy Officer. He has strong financial expertise (MBA) and practical problem solving skills through his hands-on engineering experience.
At Forte Group, Jeff was a Partner with an incubator fund that assessed investments in early stage companies and then provided the selected entrepreneurs with resources and funding to support their development into a commercial enterprise.
While at Cambridge Energy Research Associates (CERA), Mr. Collins led the E&P Strategies Group and advised senior management and boards of large corporations on emerging industry trends, potential disruptive technologies and changing global markets.
As a leadership team member (Corvus, Gran Tierra Energy, Penn West, Forte Group), he was responsible for developing strategic plans, implementing risk mitigation programs and evaluating major capital investment opportunities.
While serving as a director and senior technical team lead (BP, Amoco, Suncor) he led business development and project origination efforts for new facilities, pipelines, LNG and power generation projects.
Mr. Collins completed an Advanced Executive Leadership Program at Dartmouth, holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Engineering) from Queen’s University and an MBA (Finance) from the University of British Columbia.
