Is FLNG the answer to Southeast Asia’s rising energy demand?
The floating LNG market is bursting with energy lately.
According to recent reports (July 2013), Shell plans more FLNG plants after developing its world first Prelude project off the coast of Western Australia, a clear indication to the industry that it’s time to start moving away from the conceptual stage towards actual design, construction and operational best practices for FLNG.
Quoting from PerthNow news website, Shell Australia General Manager for Production Michael Schoch said: "Expertise gained from the Prelude project will help develop other floating LNG opportunities, with the expertise residing here and the world will be looking at us.''
