Jordi Vila

Biologist and Master in Engineering and Environmental Management, have been more than 25 years dedicated professionally to the sector of Environment, holding positions of environmental management and corporative social responsibility in different organizations.  

Now, he’s Director of Environmental management of the Port of Barcelona, position that occupied from its creation in 1995 to 2004, and that returns to occupy from 2012 to the present time. He has represented the port in numerous congresses, workshops and seminaries. He is professor in the University of Barcelona and the Polytechnical University of Catalunya on Port management and environment. He has been representing of the Spanish state in the Marine Environment Committee of the International Marine Organization. He was charter member until 2004 of the European network Ecoports as representative of the Port of Barcelona. 

He has been Director of Sustainability and RSC in a company leader of the real estate and hotel sector in Spain, dedicated to the residential promotion and operation of resorts with hotel and sport infrastructure. Also he has been consulting independent strategist in environmental subjects.
