Lucas Lin

Lucas Lin is the Chairperson of Synera Renewable Energy Group (SRE Group) and one of driving forces behind the transformation of Taiwan’s offshore wind industry. Since joining the company in 2014 and later serving as Chief Executive Officer until 2022, he has helped shape SRE Group into a leading platform for offshore wind development, operations, and long‑term asset management. A pioneer in Taiwan’s energy transition, Mr. Lin played a defining role in the country’s first commercial offshore wind project as President and Project Director of Formosa 1, where he led complex international partnerships, financing structures, regulatory frameworks, and risk management strategies. He continues to advance large‑scale offshore wind development as Project Director and Board Member of Formosa 2. Beyond project leadership, Mr. Lin actively contributes to global industry collaboration as Chairperson of the GESA Wind Committee, following his tenure as Chairperson of the Taiwan Offshore Wind Industry Association.
