Brenda Brinson is Chief Diversity Officer and general manager, Culture & People Strategy for Phillips 66, a diversified energy manufacturing and logistics company. She also serves as enterprise organization design lead for the company’s Business Transformation. With more than 30 years of business experience across multiple industries including financial services and consumer goods, Brinson has deep expertise in talent management, organizational health & effectiveness, executive coaching, culture shaping and large-scale transformation. Before joining Phillips 66 in March of 2017, Brinson served as assistant vice president for USAA’s Talent and Organizational Effectiveness functions. She and her team were responsible for designing talent, organizational architecture, and employee engagement strategies, preserving, and strategically enhancing USAA’s culture, and leading large-scale human capital and organizational transformation efforts. Prior to joining USAA, Brinson served as the global Information Technology transformation and change management thought leader for the Whirlpool Corporation. She led enterprise change initiatives with direct reports on three continents. Before joining Whirlpool, Brinson was a senior partner at Pierre & Associates, responsible for delivering bottom-line business results through research-based human capital, organizational effectiveness and change enablement interventions for Fortune 500 companies. She started her career with Allstate Insurance Company, where she held numerous Property & Casualty business unit and staff leadership positions. Brinson holds a Bachelor of Science in interpersonal communications from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
