Main Conference Day Two - November 6

1:30 PM It’s all About Change Management: Building the Foundation to Drive Operational Excellence

Since Holly joined Vital Energy 3 years ago, the operator has experienced exponential growth driven through M&A. This growth highlighted the need for a robust project management framework—not to introduce bureaucracy, but to enhance consistency, governance, and the value of operational excellence initiatives. To meet this need, Holly created a strategic structure grounded in three core pillars: stakeholder analysis, change impact analysis, resource analysis, through a human-centered lens. In this session Holly will explore how she has created this structure and why placing people at the heart of transformation was essential to driving sustainable operational excellence.

  • Data Led Success Stories: Driving the adoption of digital tools and securing leadership buy-in by presenting data-driven use cases that demonstrate business value
  • Holistic Impact Assessment: Reviewing the interdependency of the three main foundational pillars, to understand the implications across teams on workflows and data governance risks
  • Prioritizing What Matters: In a landscape where no two initiatives are directly comparable, how does Vital Energy evaluate success? Review the metrics and decision-making frameworks used to assess and prioritize initiatives based on strategic value and measurable outcomes
