Michaela Dirkse van Schalkwyk is Sr Director, Change Management for Phillips 66, a diversified energy company. She has extensive experience in spearheading enterprisewide transformations and developing innovative change strategies at a global scale.

Before assuming her current role in February 2025, Michaela led change management and successfully established it as a revenue-generating business unit at Baker Hughes, contributing to the company’s revenue growth. She is a recognized expert in aligning transformation roadmaps with business objectives, ensuring seamless implementation of complex initiatives, and fostering organizational resilience.

Prior to joining Baker Hughes in Houston, TX, Michaela served in several other roles: Organizational Change Management Lead at Marathon Oil (Texas), Senior Project Manager at Alex and Ani (Rhode Island), Senior Manager at Accenture (Singapore, Malaysia), and various other change management and project manager roles in Dubai, U.K., and South Africa.

Having lived across the globe, Michaela is committed to creating connection and community to affect positive change, she actively supports initiatives that promote better understanding of the world – its people, politics, economies, and cultures – to enable people to participate more effectively in the global world. She serves on the Board of Directors for the World Affairs Council (WAC) of Greater Houston.

Michaela holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Business Management & Information Systems) from Rhodes University, and certifications in Accelerating Change Readiness and Agility (UC Berkeley Executive Education) and Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
