Maximising FLNG and FSRU Opportunities to Meet the Heightened Demand for LNG
12 September 2022
As the global energy sector shifts to renewable energy sources, the demand for LNG is set to increase 25% - 50% by 2030, according to the latest industry reports. This has consequently sparked an increase in potential FLNG and FSRU projects across the globe, specifically in Asia, resulting in a total of 43 vessels of FSRU and 3 FLNG vessels operating currently.
While LNG demand is set to reach new heights, the “supply industry” might take a longer time to respond due to lingering uncertainty over mid-long-term demand, real-life operability of FLNG and FSRU projects and the sustainability of the wider LNG ecosystem.
Held alongside the FPSO World Congress 2022, FLNG & FSRU Asia will explore practical solutions in meeting the exponential LNG demand in cost-effective and sustainable manners.
