Mr. Abdulla Al-Qadi is a petroleum engineer by education with extensive and diversified experience in exploration and development operations. Prior to joining Crescent Petroleum, Mr. Al-Qadi had a highly successful career for over 17 years with the ADNOC group, most recently as the Offshore & Onshore Drilling Manager. His main role in Crescent Petroleum is managing the Company’s exploration and production operations within and outside the UAE as well as new business development.
Crescent Petroleum has been operating as a regional upstream oil and gas company in the UAE for almost forty years and was the first regional, independent, privately-owned Middle Eastern petroleum company to engage in the acquisition, exploration and development of petroleum concessions.
It is headquartered in the UAE, with international offices strategically located in the UK, Iraq and Iran and affiliate offices in Canada and Egypt.
Ieda Gomes is Vice President for New Ventures at BP Gas Asia & Middle East and is responsible for gas market development and entry opportunities in South Asia and the Middle East. She joined BP in 1998 and since then she has had several international assignments, including President of BP Brazil and Business Unit Leader for Latin America Gas Marketing. She also spent 2 years as Vice President for BP Solar Rural Solutions.
Ieda holds a degree in Chemical Engineering, a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering and an MSc cum lauda in Energy. She is a member of the Executive Committee of the International Gas Union and Vice President of the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain. Ieda received the Veuve Clicquot Award as Business Woman of the Year in Brazil 2001/2002.
Nikolai Lyngø is Head of Strategy, Oil Trading and Supply, at Statoil, working from the group’s HQ in Stavanger, Norway. Previously, Mr Lyngø was vice president at Statoil, International E&P, Business Development North America at the Houston office where he was providing leadership for all for business development activities in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
Mr. Lyngø has experience within the areas of oil trading, business development, project management and field development. He has been involved in several of Statoil’s transactions since he joined the international business development group at Statoil in 2005. He was central in developing Statoil’s GoM strategy following the US GoM Encana transaction and worked with several US GoM acquisition and divestment projects. Previously, Mr. Lyngø worked as a consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Suresh P Manglani is Vice President (Gas Business) with one of the largest private enterprises in India, Reliance Industries. He is the key strategist in driving the group's investment in CGD and looking after the key responsibilities of the gas business vertical.
Prior to joining Reliance in 2008, Mr Manglani worked with one of India's largest city gas distribution companies - Mahanagar Gas - a joint venture of British Gas and GAIL. Here, he worked in leadership roles for over 14 years, in which time he was instrumental in developing Mahanagar Gas from inception to becoming the largest CGD player in India.
Mr. Manglani is a well known gas business professional having vast experience of over 20 years across all functional areas including commercial, marketing and contract negotiations, taxation and regulations, finance, legal, corporate affairs and policy.
Jatinder Peters is General Manager - Human Resources for Indian National Oil Company ONGC. Her career path has taken her from Drilling Fluid engineering to senior HR management and she is now responsible for ONGC’s capability development activities throughout India from the Delhi head office. Chief amongst her responsibilities is ensuring that ONGC’s training and development activities meet the operational and strategic demands of the business.Back to Top
Luechai Wongsirasawad is an INSEAD and IMD alumni who has been working in the oil and gas business for more than 30 years. In this time, he has gathered a wealth of experience starting as Field Engineer and Training Manger with Schlumberger for 10 years, before moving to Thai Shell E&P where a 17-year career culminated in his becoming Managing Director, before he moved to PTTEP almost 7 years ago to fulfill a role as EVP looking after both Human Resources and Business Services.Back to Top
