Statistics coming out of the annual Government Expenditure and Revenue Scotland (GERS) report have made for the starkest reading yet for the UK’s oil and gas industry. In the past 12 months, revenues from the oil and gas industry have dropped from £1.8 billion ($2.4 billion) to a paltry £60 million ($78 million).
