As the LNG market continues to grow in maritime, and more ships are being built with LNG and other fuel capability, there is a constant need to ensure the training and safety of those working with these ships and infrastructure is developed, including flammability, toxicity, and storage requirements.
This workshop is a continuation of the workshops hosted by USCG each year, ensuring as we mature more with LNG, the training is evolving too. As well as LNG, join this workshop to learn about the unique hazards involved with fuels such as Ammonia and Methanol – not only to train staff, but to evaluate viability for the future.
The Liquefied Gas Carrier National Center of Expertise aims to support industry and USCG by promoting and facilitating technical regulatory expertise and training on liquefied gas carriers and alternative fuels.
LNG is viewed by many as the most viable alternative marine fuel available at scale in North America, and globally. It is especially true that the compliance costs are looming, and this will be a key determining factor in fuel decisions for the future of the industry. But with new fuel standards being implemented off the back of IMO meetings in 2025, how do the compliance costs of LNG compare to that of methanol, ammonia, and VLSFO (and how does this compare to EU compliance costs for those operating globally)
Join this workshop to explore the potential financial impact of the regulatory landscape, and brainstorm some different ways of modelling the future anticipated costs.
