There are 190 FPSOs in commission around the world in the oil and gas industry today, 172 of which are actively operating on fields, according to the latest data.


Aside from a robust and floatable hull, the most important part of an FPSO unit is its mooring system. With vessels stationed in harsh and isolated environments for successive months, the method by which they are kept in position is vital to safe and continuous production.
