Freddie Wright is currently the General Manager of Distribution Engineering and Reliability. In this role, he is responsible for implementing and overseeing the strategic direction, budget and portfolio alignment, and operational execution by aligning engineering, reliability, capital planning, and grid investments to deliver greater reliability, resilience, and customer value. Wright has held various roles across several of Southern Company's electric utilities (Georgia Power, Mississippi Power, and Gulf Power). The roles included Director of the Grid Investment Program, Distribution General Manager, Manager of the Northern Transmission Maintenance Area, Manager of Network Underground Services, Manager of Fleet Operations, and Manager of Substation Construction.
