"I think it's an absolutely fantastic gathering of the industry and you meet all colleagues, friends and associates which actually I personally met during the last 10 plus years in this industry. And it helps to get updated on the development and to cherish also what has been accomplished and also to tackle the challenges which are still ahead of us."

Rolf Stiefel, Country Chief Executive for Central Europe at Bureau Veritas

Question: What is a key trend in the future of the LNG Bunkering Industry?

"A key trend for the future of the LNG bunkering industry is maximizing compatibility of both the bunker vessel, which is delivering the LNG and also the LNG fuelled vessel, which is clearly receiving the LNG. What's really important when we are transferring LNG at cryogenic temperatures is there's a lot of challenges involved with that. Those challenges obviously need to be overcome in order for the industry to develop and continue to grow in the future."

Matt Richardson, Trelleborg Marine Systems UK

Question: What’s your favourite part about attending this event?

"My favourite part about attending this event are the stakeholders that are involved all attend the event so you get to discuss every aspect of the LNG bunkering industry along with other future fuels."

Matt Richardson, Trelleborg Marine Systems UK

"I think we've had a couple of great sessions. I'm thinking about the one from Total Energies and the one from Shell this morning regarding bio methane. I think it was very interesting to have a suppliers perspective when it comes to LBV shortage and projections for the next decade when it comes to LNG bunkering and future fuels. So, very interesting looking forward to the next ones."

Amine El Kadiri, Gaztransport and Technigaz

And what do you think the key trend is in the future of the LNG bunkering industry?

"So, in GTT, we are firm believers in LNG, we believe that LNG is not only is not only a fuel of transition, but a fuel in transition. So we are hopeful that suppliers will put the necessary efforts to develop bio-methane and have a blended LNG and hopefully one day e synthetic LNG. So, we are still confident that LNG has a bright futures in terms of bunkering and we are looking forward to more orders and developing in some regions where there is not sufficient infrastructures. There is some potential we need to explore as an industry as a whole."

Amine El Kadiri, Gaztransport and Technigaz

Why would you recommend your peers to attend this event in the future?

"I think it's been a great conference. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a great networking opportunity to meet so many industry leaders, both on the supply side as then as well as shipping owners like Royal Caribbean. There were very interesting technical solutions that are being offered towards the LNG powered vessels.

There was really a lot of food for thought offered. I enjoyed the format as well. I think it was very interactive, the networking was highly encouraged. There was some workshops and the round tables that really encouraged the conversations and participation to exchange of the ideas. I think it's a great opportunity to learn more about LNG to share what you've already been doing and exchange experiences."

Lana Piterova, Fuel Procurement Manager, Royal Caribbean

Question: For this year we have worked integrate more of the future fuel sector. How have you found this beneficial and important for the industry?

I really enjoy it highly that we know we no longer talk about LNG as a standalone fuel, but it's more, you know, a kind of as a concept that every company’s journey towards decarbonization. I think it's really important for everyone to discuss what role does LNG play, in the future fuel mix. There are a lot of conversations. LNG fuel transition does it really going get us to net zero by 2050. And I think this event really answers that. There are different pathways to take and LNG plays a very important role.’

Lana Piterova, Fuel Procurement Manager, Royal Caribbean

As is your first time attending the event, what have you enjoyed about it?

"It's been very inspiring. I learned a lot. It's very good to get a perspective from different stakeholders, and to get an idea of the overall, of the pain points and ambitions from different parts of the bunkering business. So, I learned a lot."

Marta Gjestvang, Product Line Manager, Kongsberg Maritime

This year we have focused also on the future fuel sector, how have you found this beneficial and important for the Industry?

"I find it interesting, very, very beneficial because, I mean, let's face it. I mean, it's not the only one solution it's part of our several solutions. And as I said in the conference, we are on the same boat as a community, right. But it is important that we all understand that we carry the message that we expose the benefits that we think our solution has for the for the common objective."
