Director, Supply Chain Center of Excellence Cheniere Energy

Faraz currently leads the Supply Chain Center of Excellence for Cheniere Energy Inc and is responsible for the strategic transformation of Cheniere Energy’s supply chain activities. He landed here in 3Q’22 after 18 years at bp in a variety of leadership and supply chain roles. During that period, Faraz lived and worked in 6 countries across three continents, delivering in a variety of functional dimensions. In his last role at bp, he was responsible for all engineering, construction, and fabrication activities (c.$6bn annual spend) in support of bp’s projects portfolio.

Faraz graduated with a BSc in Mechanical Engineering began his engineering career at a Petro-chemical plant but pivoted to Supply Chain Management after a few years recognizing how under-utilized the supply chain levers were in most chemical and energy industries. He completed his MSc in Purchasing and Supply Chain Mgt from Robert Gordon University in Scotland and is a fully certified Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Chain (MCIPS).

Faraz is based in the Greater Houston Area and as a father of 2 girls is passionate about gender equality and regularly volunteers as a STEM Ambassador.
