#OPEXOG Summit Day One - November 4

8:05 AM Keynote Panel: The Next Competitive Advantage: Building the Workforce That Will Power the Next Era of U.S. Oil & Gas Operations

The future of U.S. oil and gas operations will be shaped as much by people as by technology. As experienced workers retire, labor shortages persist and operational complexity continues to grow, operators face an urgent challenge: how to attract, develop and empower the workforce needed to safely and efficiently run increasingly digital operations. The organizations that outperform over the next decade will be those that successfully combine human expertise with AI, automation and connected technologies to create a more capable, productive and connected frontline workforce.

This keynote brings together industry leaders to explore how the industry's workforce strategy is evolving: from relying on institutional knowledge and manual processes to building connected, data-driven teams equipped with real-time insights, digital tools and continuous learning. The discussion will examine how leading operators are accelerating workforce readiness, capturing critical expertise before it is lost, upskilling employees for AI enabled operations and creating a workforce that can adapt, innovate and drive operational excellence in an increasingly competitive energy landscape.
