Kumar Gaurav Gupta is the CEO of Verdantis, an AI-native software company built for asset-intensive industries including oil and gas, mining, utilities, and manufacturing. Enterprise Asset Management is one of the largest, least-digitized parts of the industrial economy. Companies spend hundreds of billions a year on maintenance, reliability, and spare parts, most of it still running on systems designed in the 1990s, where the people doing the work are held back by data that's fragmented, dirty, and reactive. Kumar's view is that the unlock was never a better interface on top of legacy data. It's rethinking the underlying workflow and agentic AI is what finally makes that possible.
