Mark Hutcherson is Director, Operations Excellence for ConocoPhillips, located in Houston, Texas. Hutcherson began his career with ExxonMobil in 2001 in various facilities and project engineering roles, supporting assets in West Texas, the Gulf of Mexico, and offshore California. In 2005, he joined Burlington Resources supporting operations in Sichuan Basin of China and South America. After the acquisition by ConocoPhillips in 2006, he transitioned to various roles in production and completions engineering, supporting conventional oil and gas assets in the inland waters of Louisiana and Gulf of Mexico. In 2010, he transferred to Anchorage to support heavy oil development on the North Slope of Alaska. In 2013, Hutcherson relocated to Australia, seconded to APLNG JV partners, leading a team of engineers focused on early delivery of gas wells supplying LNG. Pivotal experience was gained working directly with development and operations leaders to build a sustainable integrated operations model. Hutcherson repatriated in 2015 as a production engineering supervisor supporting conventional and unconventional assets in Texas and Oklahoma before assuming his current role in mid-2017. Hutcherson earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Kansas State University in 2001.
