Sushanta Sahu

Sushanta Sahu is Vice President of Process Excellence and Analytics for NOV's Rig Technologies business unit, where he leads initiatives focused on organizational efficiency and effectiveness through continuous improvement, operational data governance, analytics, automation, and AI across the business.

Over more than two decades, Sushanta has worked at the intersection of operations, process improvement, technology, and data, leading initiatives that have improved cost, lead time, working capital, productivity, data integrity, and overall business performance. His experience spans manufacturing, supply chain, process redesign, digital enablement, and organizational capability building.

Earlier in his career with NOV, Sushanta focused extensively on strengthening manufacturing performance across the company's global network, helping drive greater standardization, more effective operating processes, stronger manufacturing systems, and broader adoption of data-driven decision making.

Sushanta holds a Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, a master's degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences, Pilani, India. He also completed UC Berkeley's certification program in AI: Business Strategies and Applications.
