Brent Ilott serves as the Vice President of Operations at California Resources Corporation (CRC), where he leads operational performance, strategy, and execution for California’s largest oil and gas producer. He began his career with the company in 2003, when it was known as Aera Energy LLC, prior to its acquisition.

Brent has worked in the energy industry since 1996, gaining extensive technical and operational experience across nearly every level of the organization—from operating and maintaining production equipment in the field to leading large, multidisciplinary teams. His early experience in operations continues to influence his practical, people-first approach to leadership, grounded in safety, efficiency, and operational excellence.

He has been a key driver of CRC’s modernization, leading the company’s Integrated Operations (IO) transformation—a major initiative that unites people, processes, and technology to improve efficiency and decision-making. Central to this effort is a state-of-the-art Central Control Room, enabling real-time remote surveillance, advanced digital capabilities, and data-driven collaboration across the organization.
