There was so much to celebrate and spotlight during the 2025 Global Maritime Decarbonisation Summit - the 12th annual flagship forum bringing together the entire maritime fuel value chain. We’re proud to showcase it all in this year’s post-show report.
COLLABORATING TO DRIVE THE GLOBAL DECARBONISATION OF THE MARITIME INDUSTRY
In October the IMO will set the direction for a new fuel framework, but its full outline will not be agreed until April 2026. This delay leaves companies hesitant to act, yet waiting is no longer an option. The debate is moving from fuel preference to how to minimise commercial risk, with many turning to diverse fleets as compliance costs grow. Meanwhile, fuel pathways hinge on long offtake agreements, but owners cannot commit due to shifting trade routes, regulations, and limited operational experience
