One group of experts believe (SRB) has nothing to do with reservoir but at the same time 2nd group of experts are very rigid and stringent about SRB population of Injection Water ( which is used in the oil reservoir for artificial lift of oil ) with NIL SRB before injection water gets inside the reservoir. It is believed by the 2nd group of experts that a single count of SRB even can make reservoir environment sour which is felt to be detrimental.
I need some technical thought share for commonly used / best used industrial practises comfortably followed here so far as QC of Injection Water is concerned and safe benchmarking of SRB MPN (most probable number ) to be used in Injection water.
