Ronald Prins is the Chief TechnologyOfficer & Co-founder of FOX IT.
In 1999 Ronald Prins co-founded Fox-IT together with Menno van der Marel. With 200 employees Fox-IT fulfills a crucial role in cyber security in the Netherlands. Fox-IT develops equipment for the protection of the Dutch State Secrets, investigates digital integrity and fraud offenses, and supports government and industry in keeping their digital environment safe.
Regularly Fox-IT is asked to give advice and explanation on cyber security issues. Fox-IT had an important role in the investigation of the KPN hack, and DigiNotar.
Previously, Ronald worked as a scientific researcher at the Netherlands Forensic Institute (NF). He gained recognition by breaking codes on cryptographic security systems encountered by law enforcement in criminal investigations.
In 1995, Ronald graduated as a mathematician at the Technical University of Delft.
