Simon Henry

Simon Henry joined Shell after graduating in Mathematics from Cambridge University in 1982. He initially began working as an engineer at the Stanlow refinery in Ellesmere Port, North-Western England.

Henry qualified as a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) in 1989, holding various finance posts, including Finance Manager of Marketing in Egypt, Controller for the Upstream business in Egypt, Oil Products Finance Adviser for Asia Pacific, Finance Director for the Mekong Cluster and General Manager Finance for the South East Asian Retail business.up to the end of 2000.

In 2001, he was appointed Head of Group Investor Relations and served most recently as Executive Vice President Finance for Exploration & Production from 2004 until his current appointment.

Henry was appointed Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Board of Royal Dutch Shell in May 2009.
