Why the US abandoned the Paris agreement [infographic]

When the Paris climate change agreement was signed on April 22, 2016 by 195 countries, it marked a watershed moment for determining, planning and documenting measures to mitigate man-made global warming.   

In June 2017, President Donald Trump, declared that the United States would be pulling out of the accord in a move to “reassert America’s sovereignty”.
