In this edition of The Boardroom, we speak with Renê van Vliet, Chief Project & Technology Officer at Pangaea LNG B.V., about what the next five to ten years has in store for floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) around the globe.

A former member of Shell’s senior management team, Renê calls upon 31 years of in-country oil and gas experience, of which more than 20 years has been spent in natural gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG) in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, developing projects with multinationals and national oil companies (NOCs).

Involved in large and complex oil and gas projects, LNG export/import, floating LNG as well as small-scale LNG developments in commercial, business development and project management roles from early opportunity identification, to deal development, project development, design and construction, often at the commercial/technical interface.
